The Rain Poem

Rain
Moist and cool
Cleans my wrath
Filling my heart
With unsaid music
Soaking in my pain
And beauty
Sings and unheard song
Making me wait for long
Soothe my form
“Shelter my soul”

Rain
A miraculous way
Of washing dirt
That covers the earth
Grasses dances in mirth
Moistness empties the thirst
Of all the plants and the trees
Without you O’ rain
our energy will drain
Nourish every grain
“Shelter My Growth”

  1. I enjoyed both stanzas of this poem & the last lines of each. Like the idea of rain sheltering one's soul, sheltering one's growth. Indeed it does!
